Physical AI, the convergence point of all data

In mid-October 2025, Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Group, participated in the 4Construct Cluj by eDevize event, where he gave a presentation as part of the panel “Technology and AI in construction: efficiency, safety, vision.”

On this occasion, Cătălin Podaru highlighted one of the innovative solutions developed within the Leviatan Group. Translator, an AI-based solution, is used by Leviatan specialists to generate estimates and bills of quantities four times faster. Execution schedules are also generated 7 times faster with this solution.

Using traditional methods, 9-10 specialists would work on a construction project for 21 days to produce bills of quantities, estimates, and recipes based on estimate standards, and 15 days to create the execution schedule. With the AI-based solution and fewer specialists (3-4), bills of quantities, estimates, and recipes are completed in 5 days, and the execution schedule is ready in 2 days, with 1 day for generation and 1 day for verification.

Artificial intelligence thus becomes essential for increasing productivity and accuracy in construction projects.

Huge opportunities for innovation through AI

Starting from the challenges encountered by Leviatan specialists in their daily activities, Cătălin Podaru demonstrated during his presentation how these challenges have become significant opportunities for innovation.

“What does the roadblock show us? The direction to the next solution. All the challenges we face every day are, in fact, like traffic signs pointing the way to solutions and development. We have started identifying challenges internally by asking people what challenges they face, so we can develop innovations that are diverse and increasingly impactful. Some of them are truly incredible,” explained Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Group.

Technology has always been a solution, and through artificial intelligence tools, the productivity of Leviatan’s specialists has increased dramatically. Through vision and innovation, they have chosen to turn challenges into directions for development and to shape an industry in which technology becomes the engine of evolution.

AI agents integrated into workflows

A promoter of innovation in construction, Leviatan Group builds its success with technology as a strategic ally. By integrating artificial intelligence into workflows, the organization is taking a natural step toward intelligent process automation.

One objective in Leviatan Group’s development roadmap is to create an AI agent that can replicate a role within the organization. Thus, under the guidance of a team member, the AI agent would fully execute specific workflows within a process, which could significantly increase productivity and impact at the organizational level.

“I strongly believe that current developments are leading us toward a point of convergence, and technology is helping a lot. We started with the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling), and through further developments we have arrived at CIM (Construction Information Management), which allows us to process data shared between specialties, flows, departments, collaborators, beneficiaries, and supervisors. One of our goals this year is to move towards AIM (Artificial Intelligence Management), an area where this entire data process is unified, simplified, and can be handled in real time, which until now was extremely difficult to achieve. We now have the necessary ingredients, and the point of convergence for all this data is Physical AI,” said Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Group.

A year and a half ago, Leviatan specialists began working with AI models, implementing them at the enterprise framework level, where agents are assigned to a specific framework within the organization, where data is structured and connected. AI enables such automation, and all data converge toward unification in the Physical AI area.

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the way we work in construction, and Leviatan Group is at the forefront of this transformation by developing solutions that connect data, processes, and people in an integrated digital ecosystem. By adopting the concept of Physical AI, the group of companies aims to create a working environment where technology not only assists but also actively collaborates with specialists.
