Cătălin Podaru, Founder and CEO of Leviatan Group, was elected Secretary General of the Secretary General of the Association of Construction Design Companies (PPC) on April 28, 2026, during the General Assembly of Members, which marked the review of a year of consolidation and set the directions for the upcoming period.
During the General Assembly, PPC’s recent activity was analyzed and the strategic priorities for the current year were established, highlighting the importance of this process both in terms of evaluating results and strengthening the organization in a context marked by accelerated transformations in the construction sector.
Cătălin Podaru’s involvement within PPC dates to 2024, when he took on the role of First Vice President. His appointment as Secretary General represents a natural continuation of this path and a broader assumption of responsibilities for the organization’s development.
“As Secretary General of PPC, I aim to contribute to strengthening the association as an active dialogue partner for authorities and decision-makers, ensuring that the interests of the design industry are coherently represented and supported through a fair and predictable framework. At the same time, I believe it is essential to support the modernization of the legislative and educational frameworks, accelerate digitalization and alignment with international standards, and integrate emerging technologies and best practices into the design process. I believe PPC can become an increasingly relevant dialogue partner for decision-makers and a true catalyst for the transformation of the industry, for the benefit of designers and the quality of investments in Romania,” stated Cătălin Podaru.
Established in 2023 at the initiative of 40 founding members, including Leviatan Design, a company part of Leviatan Group, the Association of Construction Design Companies serves as a platform representing companies and professionals in the design field, ensuring that their voice and interests are heard and respected by public authorities and institutional partners.
The 2025 activity report of PPC, presented during the General Assembly in April 2026, reflects significant institutional consolidation and the expansion of relationships with professional and academic environments. Over the past year, the association has remained actively involved in key industry processes, promoting clearer legislation, higher quality standards, and better conditions for practicing the design profession.
“The results presented show that PPC is moving in the right direction and that the efforts made during this period are beginning to bear fruit. It is important to maintain this momentum and remain actively involved to strengthen the association’s role further. In a period marked by instability on multiple levels, our unity is essential to protect the rights and interests of design engineers in construction. I am confident that the new structure of the Board of Directors will further energize and enhance PPC’s impact in its relationship with beneficiaries and decision-makers,” said Alexandru Fulga, President of PPC.
One of the association’s recent actions is the signing, in March 2026, of a sponsorship agreement with CEC Bank to support the project “Implementation of Amendments to the Territorial Planning, Urbanism and Construction Code”, an initiative aimed at updating and simplifying the legislative framework in the field.
Through such initiatives, PPC continues to strengthen its role as an active partner in the modernization of the construction sector, supporting a clearer, more predictable legislative framework better aligned with the complexity of the design process.
