Leviatan Group has become a Member of the Advisory Council of Atlantic Council Romania, a strategic initiative marking a new stage in strengthening transatlantic relations and fostering dialogue on security, defence, energy, economics, and technology in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Atlantic Council, one of America’s leading think tanks based in Washington, D.C., is dedicated to promoting constructive leadership and international affairs in which the Atlantic community plays a central role in meeting global challenges. The think-tank brings together political leaders, experts, diplomats, and private sector representatives to find common solutions to global challenges and advocate for a stable, prosperous, and democratic international order.

The official launch of the Atlantic Council Romania took place on June 30, 2025, marking a natural extension of the organisation’s long-term engagement in the Black Sea region. The Atlantic Council Romania’s mission is to strengthen the partnership between the United States and Romania, contributing to the reinforcement of our country’s regional role and the formulation of global policies on energy security, geopolitical stability and democratic resilience.

Before the launch event, Frederick Kempe, President and CEO of the Atlantic Council, visited the General Emanoil Ionescu Air Base 71, where he expressed his appreciation for the modern constructions and facilities developed in record time by Leviatan Group at Câmpia Turzii, which have a significant impact in strengthening NATO’s Eastern flank.

Under Frederick Kempe’s leadership, the organization has evolved into a world-recognized global policy centre of excellence. A former journalist and editor at The Wall Street Journal, Frederick Kempe is the author of several books on international relations and a respected leader in promoting transatlantic values.
