From a Company Founded During a Crisis to a Group Built on Integration

In 2012, amid a difficult economic climate, Cătălin Podaru laid the foundation for a business that began as an architecture and engineering firm and gradually evolved into a group of companies offering integrated services in the construction sector. The evolution of Leviatan Group was driven by a desire to reduce fragmentation between architecture, engineering, and construction so that teams could collaborate more efficiently and projects could benefit from a unified approach. Leviatan Group brings together four companies—Leviatan Design, Ubitech Construcții, eConfaire Immersive Design, and Copraag Entrepreneur—that combine complementary expertise to provide integrated services for developing complex construction projects.

Digital transformation has played a key role in this evolution; it has accelerated since 2018 and been strengthened by the development of the group’s own research and development division. Moving beyond process automation and application integration, the group has advanced to its proprietary Enterprise Construction Flows (ECF) platform, which integrates information and workflows throughout projects. This approach supports coordination across specialized disciplines, data-driven decision-making, and the management of highly complex projects, such as those in the defense and healthcare sectors.

For Leviatan Group, integration is both an advantage in developing current projects and the foundation for the next stage of its evolution. Artificial intelligence, the Holistic Digital Twin, and—looking ahead—robotics applied to construction aim to optimize processes and increase the value delivered to clients. The goal remains the same: to develop better-coordinated projects and buildings that can be operated intelligently and efficiently throughout their entire life cycle.
