Open Your HeART 2026: When a passion for art turns into caring for others

When people put their heart into what they do, even the simplest passions can become a source of hope for others.

In our group of companies, we experience this every year through Open Your HeART, the charity event that brings together colleagues, their children, and partner artists around a common cause. Now in its fourth edition, Open Your HeART transforms participants’ passion for art and creativity into tangible support for the HOSPICE Casa Speranței Foundation.

On October 15, 2026, at The Venue, we brought together 111 works of art, created with patience and talent by 59 artists. Some took shape at home, in their free time, while others were created during creative workshops held at our headquarters. Each piece was unique, but all shared the same goal: to contribute to the care of children and adults with terminal illnesses.

Our Colleagues’ Creativity, Transformed into Support for Others

Many of the works on display were created by our colleagues, either individually or as part of the internal communities Artizanii and Seeds of Hope. Each contributed their own passions and skills, resulting in a surprisingly diverse exhibition.

On the easels, visitors could admire landscapes inspired by Santorini and Venice, as well as fields of poppies, animals, and floral arrangements. Alongside the paintings were crocheted bags, accessories, ceramic brooches, embroidered clothing, and other creations into which our colleagues had invested time, attention, and imagination.

At Open Your HeART, creativity isn’t about the perfection of a piece, but about the joy of creating something that can bring joy to someone else. The diversity of the items on display showed, once again, how many passions exist within our community.

Little Artists, Big Gestures

Once again, our colleagues’ children played a special role. Ten children created 20 colourful, imaginative works, from characters and animals to planets and rainbows. For some, the evening also brought the excitement of seeing their own drawings on display alongside the adults’ creations.

Through their drawings, the children brought not only color to the exhibition but also the joy of contributing, alongside their parents, to an important cause.

Heartfelt Partnerships That Give Strength to the Project

Once again this year, our partner artists played an important role in Open Your HeART. Their return shows we share the belief that art can bring hope and support to those in need.

Anca Dușe, Contemporia, Rozana Mihalache, Cerasela Teohari, and Loretta Lorincz Băluță donated 8 works to the charity auction, each bringing their own artistic perspective and a desire to support this cause.

We thank them for their generosity and for choosing to carry on the Open Your HeART story alongside us.

Beyond each participant’s contribution, Open Your HeART highlights the connections that form when people choose to do good together. Alina Podaru, Group Chief People & Culture Officer at Leviatan Group, captured this idea in her message delivered on the evening of the event:

“Think about how many people come together, unseen, in one of the artworks here tonight: the one who created it, the one who encouraged them, the one who pauses in front of it, the one who chooses it, and, beyond this room, the person whom our gesture will help. A thread is woven between them, one we cannot see, but which exists, made of seemingly small things: time, care, presence, and a helping hand extended at just the right moment. I believe HOSPICE has this power: it cannot make time infinite, but it can infuse an infinite amount of life into a finite time.”

This commitment turned into tangible support. By the end of the auction, we raised 30,805 lei, all of which went to the HOSPICE Casa Speranței Foundation.

“This is the fourth edition of the event in which art serves as the bridge between emotion and good deeds. The works on display, which attendees could bid on, told stories not only of beauty and creativity but also helped weave tales of hope for children in need of palliative care. As a result of the exhibition, we raised 30,805 lei, which will contribute to the construction of the Hospital of Hope,” said Mirela Nemțanu, CEO of HOSPICE Casa Speranței.

Four editions in which we’ve learned just how much we can accomplish together

Open Your HeART remains one of our group of companies’ most heartfelt initiatives. From colleagues who discover or share their talents, to the children who participate with enthusiasm and the artists who choose to join us, every contribution plays an important role.

Beyond the works on display and the funds raised, what remains is the joy of having accomplished something together. A painting created in one’s free time, a patiently crocheted item, or a drawing made by a child can mean more than just a beautiful gift to the person who buys it. They can help provide care and comfort to someone going through a difficult time.

We thank all our colleagues, children, partner artists, and participants who made this edition possible.

For us, Open Your HeART means more than just an exhibition or a charity auction. It means people who give their time and talent so others can receive the support they need. And we hope this story will continue, with the same generosity, with each new edition.
