In mid-June 2026, the construction industry was at the center of two landmark events: the Construction Forum, the largest business and leadership conference in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to the construction sector, organized by eDevize, and nZEB Expo, the energy-efficient construction event organized by soflete.ro.

Cătălin Podaru, CEO of Leviatan Group, and Alina Podaru, Group Chief People & Culture Officer, delivered presentations that marked Leviatan Group’s presence at the event. They showcased technological solutions at the group’s booth. They together sent a clear message: the transformation of construction relies not only on technology but also on people.

Artificial Intelligence and Humanoid Robots on Construction Sites

At the Construction Forum, Cătălin Podaru delivered a presentation titled: “Role-Playing Avatars: The Apocalypse of Construction Jobs or the Dawn of a Creative Era?”, during which he discussed how Generative AI can reshape internal workflows in the construction industry.

An important area of development for Leviatan Group is building an ecosystem based on Generative AI, in which technology supports end-to-end processes and improves quality, speed, and consistency in day-to-day operations. Role-based AI avatars, integrated into daily workflows, can support the analysis, structuring, verification, and generation of content or documentation.

Thus, artificial intelligence is not viewed as a replacement for humans, but as a partner that can take over repetitive tasks and give specialists more room for critical thinking, coordination, and creativity.

At the same time, at nZEB Expo, Cătălin Podaru expanded on this perspective, addressing the impact of humanoid robots on the construction industry and how professionals can adapt to new forms of collaboration with technology.

Technology makes a difference when organizations are built around people

The technological perspective was complemented by a people-centered approach, highlighted by Alina Podaru, Group Chief People & Culture Officer at Leviatan Group, during her presentation at the Construction Forum titled “We Build Buildings. Who Builds Organizations?” In an industry undergoing rapid transformation, organizational culture is essential for technology to have a real impact.

Organizations prepared for the future need clarity, alignment, communication, and trust. Performance isn’t just about measurement, but about continuous growth, feedback, recognition, and goals aligned with the company’s strategic direction.

The message is a balanced one: the future of construction will be decisively influenced by technology, but people will build it. And innovation produces results when a solid organizational culture supports it.

The solutions presented at the Leviatan Group booth

At the Leviatan Group booth, attendees could explore solutions and projects that demonstrate how technology can transform the construction industry.

MONADA, the design solution developed by Leviatan Group, demonstrated how a simple voice prompt can be transformed, with the help of AI, into design options and 3D models. The AI-integrated INMO glasses demonstrated how project information can be accessed quickly via direct questions, without searching through numerous documents.

Participants were also able to explore Omniverse, a digital environment in which 3D models can be simulated and tested before construction, with support from the Spark supercomputer. In the same virtual space, a robot dog is trained to receive and execute specific missions before applying them in real-world contexts.

The robotics area featured a humanoid robot that replicates the user’s movements in real time via a dedicated app for Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, the DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone and VR headsets demonstrated new ways to capture field data and visualize projects immersively.

The presence of Leviatan specialists at the Construction Forum and nZEB Expo 2026 demonstrated that the future of the industry is being built at the intersection of technology and people – where smart solutions drive progress, and human vision transforms them into real impact.
